导向标识系统与环境整体风格应和谐统一，通过设计前期对功能需求、消费群体、文化表现、建筑与园林进行分析之后，我们将重点放在了建筑外观上。建筑体针对风载问题在对角处设计了弧形倒角，并且将这一设计理念贯穿于整体建筑群导向设计中。设计师很巧妙的将这一弧形运用在了导向标识设计中，充分的与建筑外观相呼应。
在材料选择上选用拉丝不锈钢与透明材料，金属材质和透明材料的搭配与建筑外观在视觉上相互呼应，在不锈钢表面进行了局部的纹理雕刻，以及镂空、凹凸等工艺。设计中注重突出直观明确的方位感，所以，大比例的箭头等标识旨在达到实际应用中的最佳效果。内发光和反光材料的组合配搭，保证了整个系统在不同季节、气候等自然条件中仍能正常且高效的运作。
Dongdao attached great importance to the harmony between style, structure and materials of the building and our signage design. To ensure that our signage system fits in perfectly, we thoroughly analysed Fortune Plaza’s functional requirements, target groups, cultural expression, architecture and landscape and general appearance. The buildings have the shape of an arch. Dongdao used this shape for the signage design. A good decision: Every sign reminds of the building’s outer appearance.
We decided to use a combination of stainless steel and translucent material for the signs. This combination corresponds with the glass and steel materials used in the building itself and reflects Fortune Plaza’s outer appearance. For the signage text we used two techniques: steel carving and embossing. Ultralarge arrowheads show the direction. We oversized the arrowheads for the sake of clarity. Internal illumination and retroreflective materials combined guarantee visibility through all seasons.
