联洋海运标志与VI设计


企业原有一套VI,做为一家国际化的贸易公司,原有标志独特性较弱,造成使其无法在国外注册,导致业务停滞,所以需要一枚具有独特识别性并能在全球注册的标志。东道受委托就联洋海运现行的企业标志及形象进行分析,并就更新企业标志的工作提出建议。东道认为此标志应具有极赋中国特色的元素,同时应体现出国际化的、大气的风格。

“联洋”是取“联五大洲,通四大洋”之意,并锲首尾二字得“联洋”中文名号。“UNI”为“统一”和“联结”之意,“OCEAN”是“辽阔海洋”之意,即取“联洋”英文名号为“UNIOCEAN”。标志正型为辽阔的“海洋”,负型为一线贯通的“航线”,它既显示“S”龙型,又酷似中国“玉玺”篆刻图形。既有“九经”又有“六纬”;既含“UNI”笔画,又显“昌”隆字型。标志汇集了行业性质,企业精神及未来展望之特征,同时寓意了公司生意兴隆,万事顺利,健康长久,持续发展。

Uniocean’s old corporate identity was too conventional and old-fashioned. The international trading company needed a new image, as their visual identity could no longer catch up with their development. The former logo lacked unique characteristics. The company felt that their old identity hindered them from entering foreign markets. Dongdao created their ticket to the foreign markets: a unique and recognizable visual identity – suitable for international business.Dongdao started with a thorough analysis of Uniocean’s former logo and image of the company. Our suggestion: to integrate more elements of the Chinese culture and at the same time advertise Uniocean’s international excellence and favorable position. A perfect combination to create a unique company image.

But first of all we had to find a new name. “Uniocean” stands for the unification (“uni”) of five world continents, connected by four oceans (“ocean”).The shape of the logo reminds of the ocean itself and also of a maritime waterway. The “S” looks like the shape of a dragon. The dragon is one of the most expressive symbols of China. The logo bears even more traces of China’s ancient culture and history. It not only reminds of an “S”, but also of the Chinese character “chang” “昌”. “Chang” means “excellent” in Chinese.Uniocean’s logo sends out several messages at the same time. The clients will immediately associate the symbol with the maritime industry. It shows Uniocean’s professional approach and strong position. Still it does not forget about the history and the Chinese roots of the company.
