2008年北京奥运会会徽全球征集评选第三名


这个名列第三的设计受到了很多人的好评,在1985件作品中标明了它的位置。在这里没有倡导“北京”,而是强调了“龙”,因为我们深刻认识到2008不只是北京的,如果拿北京的利益和借此机会凝聚全球华人的精神相比,我们选择了后者。只有“龙”才是全球华人的精神源泉,中国人都认为自己是龙的传人,在“龙”字中还有数字“29”,而2008正好是第29届奥运会,这样的巧合像是天意,第29届奥运会应在龙的国度举办。标志在体现“龙”字的同时,又是一个“新”字,象征新北京、新奥运的口号。色彩用了黄色来象征黄皮肤的中国人和人文奥运,绿色象征着绿色奥运,蓝色象征着科技奥运。

Beijing 2008 is an opportunity to unify the spirit of all Chinese people worldwide, not only in Beijing. That is why we did not want to emphasize on “Beijing”, but rather take a symbol meaningful for all Chinese. We chose the “Dragon”. No symbol can better represent the Chinese spirit. Chinese believe to be the offspring of the dragon. Moreover the Chinese character “Dragon” is similar to 29. The 29th Olympic Games are taking place in 2008. This could not be a coincidence. We felt that the 29th Olympic Games should take place under the sign of the dragon. The symbol is also close to the character “new”, corresponding with the slogan of new Beijing and new Olympics. The colour yellow stands for the Chinese people’s yellow skin and friendly and happy Olympic Games. Green symbolizes environmentally friendly Games, blue for the high standard of technology at the Olympics.
